Who We Are

Integrated LED Controls (ILC) was founded by a team of seasoned professionals within the lighting control industry; we saw the need to deploy a versatile, simple to integrate, Dim and automate LED control system. Being in the lighting control industry for over 15 years and with the growing demand of LED lighting and control, we were encountering many challenges to properly dim LED strip lights, flickering & low end dimming limitations and very expensive solutions when it came down to color changing and DMX control.

ILC’s main objectives were to provide an efficient LED lighting system, provide quality products most made in the USA, to help simplify very complex systems for end-users and solve all above challenges. ILC offers a complete solution for single (Mono) color, multi-color (RGB), DMX Fixtures control that can be customized to fit any size job or application. The Majority of components are manufactured here in the U.S. which ensures quality to all consumers.
With a rapid increase in popularity, LEDs provide versatility and reliability to your lighting environment. LEDs are long lasting, cost-effective and virtually require no maintenance. With endless design options you can take your creativity indoors or outdoors to provide a safe environment in any application.
Our LED systems and components can be easily integrated and are fully compatible with all major lighting control systems such as: Lutron, Vantage, Crestron, Savant, AMX, Control 4, Elan DMX Fixtures and many more.
Important advantages and benefits of our ILC system components over other brands include:

Why Us

We know that when it comes to RGB LED color changing components you may have a plethora of vendors to chose from.

So, why should you choose us? Listed are the 9 main important and legal reasons that set us apart from the rest of the pack.

1) Peace of Mind/Philips Licensed Solution – A predominate number of vendors who are currently offering mixable or dimmable RGB LED offerings through their web-based storefronts risk legal action from Philips. Unknown to many, Philips owns well over 800 patents in the field of LED lighting. Patent infringement is a key concern to those dealers and installers whose installations will attract any kind of notoriety or press. ILC have developed key color mixing technology which has been engineered into many of the worlds’ color printers and copiers offered from Minolta, Ricoh, Canon, and Xerox as well as over 80 other printer/copy devices. ILC and Philips have entered into a joint licensing/patent protection agreement that provides that all LED controllers combined with LED elements made available from ILC can be sold without risk of patent infringement from Philips.

2) Recognized Components and ETL Listed Systems – ILC has invested much into securing a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) Safety Listing for its complete LED systems as well as Recognized Markings for its particular components, should they be integrated by third-parties into their own systems unique from ILC’s offerings. Even though the typical perception is that low-voltage lighting does not require safety ratings, building inspectors can disallow low-voltage LED installations if the system does not have a NRTL Listing Mark assigned to it (i.e. or ). A majority of U.S. LED lighting elements and controllers in the market simply have no NRTL Listing or in some cases only have a Recognition Marking (i.e. or ). Equipment with Recognition Marks (as opposed to the more difficult to obtain Listing Mark) needs to be on-site inspected by a NRTL representative for each installation in order to permit sign off by a building inspector. Neither the National Electric Code (NEC) nor building inspector can accept NRTL Recognized components within residential or commercial installation without safety marks whatsoever.

3) Ease of Integration and Readily – Available Third-Party Device Drivers – Typical RGB LED systems are often accompanied by low-cost hand-held IR controllers or simple on-off switches. Integrated LED Controls has been masterful over its entire history in developing or having developed legitimate RS-232-C (serial) device drivers as well as Ethernet (IP) device drivers for all its controller technology. In addition, advanced communication protocol support built into ILC technology where drivers enable such functionality allow such drivers from third-party devices (i.e. Crestron, Savant, Control 4 ,etc.) to signal back to users through these control systems’ User Interfaces (UI) precise status of LED light status (on, off, or particular hue). This level of bi-directional (two-way) remote control through both serials as well as Ethernet is unparalleled within the industry.

4) Maximum Flexibility and Lighting System Compatibility – Traditional automation systems from the likes of Crestron® and others occupy the space of the lighting panel controller vendors. Two of the largest lighting controller companies, Lutron® and Vantage®, are supported through unique interfaces available for the ILC Intelligent Lighting Controller family. Before ILC’s innovations came to market, these lighting company powerhouses found that multi-color (RGB) LED support was only available through ancillary DMX hardware or related expensive and superfluous hardware. Integrated LED Controls (ILC) has engineering product offerings that enable the entire range of Lutron controller devices from the Grafik Eye®, Grafik Eye QS®, RadioRA2® and Homeworks® as well Vantage systems to control our Intelligent Lighting Controllers (ILC-100) and RGB Flexible LED elements directly. In fact, these ubiquitous lighting controllers offered by third-parties can select any hue (color) from a range of over 16.7 million colors reliably by using the ILC’s controller technology.

5) Expandable System – Each Intelligent Lighting Controller (ILC-100) can drive up to 30 feet of flexible RGB linear lighting elements (standard brightness) or 25 feet of flexible RGB lighting elements (enhanced brightness). Up to 255 ILC-100 devices can be networked on each leg of an Ethernet network, with up to 16.5 million ILC-100s are able to be addressed system-wide. Unique commissioning tools including software (PC-based Pilot application) and hardware (e-Node Ethernet firewall) can be used to set-up and control the most sophisticated systems imaginable.

6) Auto selection of any Color (Hue) from a Palette of 16.7m colors – An embedded color computer within the ILC-100 enables any color (hue) value from a palette of over 16.7 million colors to be selected within seconds without knowledge of color science or special training. Up to 16 specific values can be stored and recalled easily. In addition, special effect sequences comprised of a number of specific hue values can be triggered and cycled through automatically for any flexible LED strips connected to ILC-100 controllers.

7) Accurate Dimming of any Color Without Color Shift – Traditional RGB- 3 color controller systems popularly available in the market cannot accurately dim a composite color (any color other than Red, Green or Blue) without encountering unexpected color shifts or perceived crude stair-step dimming at the low-end. Specifically, if a composite color like pink or orange were dimmed with the ILC-100, the color displayed from full on to full off would fade linearly from on to off without encountering traditional color shifts to red or blue or green through the fading process. This is especially important when precise colors are desired by the lighting designer or end-user.

8) Co-existence with Third party DMX Fixtures – Often within lighting installation, there is a requirement to support both tri-colored linear LED lighting as well as third-party DMX lighting fixtures. Our e-Node Ethernet adapter and firewall device has been equipped with similar functionality as embedded within the ILC-100 lighting controllers such that a universe of DMX fixtures can be connected to a single e-Node and integrated within a standard lighting system and respond to common device commands from third-party control systems without the need for third-party DMX consoles, adapters or equipment. All lights whether they are LED flexible RGB Linear arrays connected to ILC’s Intelligent Lighting Controllers or (third-party) DMX fixtures connected to a ILC e-Node will respond identically, thus saving installation time and cost for the installer. The advanced functionality of the e-Node also in some cases brings DMX functionality to third-party controls that otherwise would not be able to support the DMX protocol whatsoever.
